First Came Love & Marriage

Everyone knows that before a baby comes love and in our case marriage (I don't judge people who have kids before they are married). Actually, my daughter is from a previous relationship when I was younger (19).
Anyways... My husband and I met two summers ago via the Internet. He is Marine and was stationed in California for a two week TDY. We talked on line for a few days and soon exchanged numbers and began to talk that way. When he came back from his drill we had our first date and have been inseparable ever since.

After four short months we decided that we were sure that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, so Tom asked me to marry him. We set the wedding date for 8 months later. May 17th to be exact. Over those next several months leading up to the wedding I move to Baltimore from 2 hours away where I was living. Tom, Maddie, and I settled into a family routine and counted down the days (at least I did) until we said I do.

Our wedding was perfect! The weather wasn't the best but it cleared up in time to take pictures outside after the ceremony. We kept it small with 30 of our closest friends and family. It was the way I always imagined it would be.
After our wedding we took a honeymoon to the Bahamas and talked about important things like when we might start a family. We agreed that it wouldn't be for at least 4 years, when I had my degree. (I am currently going to school to be a medical laboratory technician) Well, I went back to school that fall (September) and by November 1st I had my positive pregnancy test. Oooppsss!
There was no mistaking if this was a positive test. Seconds after taking it two bright pink (almost red) lines popped onto the display. It was early in the morning before I left for class, but I ran in and woke up my hubby to give him the news. He smilled the smile I love so much, hugged me, and rolled over and went back to sleep. MEN! We went to get blood work to confirm what I already knew in my heart the next day. Sure enough, positive.
While this life may not sound great to everyone, it is perfectly mine! I wouldn't switch places with anyone. Is being a mom of a toddler hard work? YES. Do I sometimes freak out at the thought of having 2 kids by the time I 22? YES. But this is my amazing, beautiful, sometimes crazy, always wonderful life!
